Carolina Construction partnered with a passionate local husband-and-wife team. Beauty Suite Studios now adds to Summerville’s heritage, providing a beautiful, functional, and inspiring space for beauty professionals to grow their businesses.

Located in the heart of downtown Summerville, South Carolina, this project involved a complete renovation of the beloved historic Italian restaurant, The Red Pepper, which was thoughtfully transformed into Beauty Sweet Studio—a luxury space designed to support professional beauty specialists in their craft and community. The original 2,000 sq. ft. building was carefully preserved, respecting its historic character while undergoing a full interior update. An additional 1,700 sq. ft. was seamlessly added, bringing the total to 3,700 sq. ft. of sophisticated workspace that combines old-world charm with modern luxury. Inside, the space features high-end finishes, custom millwork, and a refined material palette tailored to the needs of contemporary beauty professionals. Every detail— from lighting and layout to acoustics and comfort— was meticulously designed to foster creativity, efficiency, and a superior client experience. The expanded floor plan includes private service rooms, open collaborative areas, premium product stations, and thoughtfully crafted client waiting zones.

On the exterior, the building’s historic identity was preserved and enhanced with updated architectural detailing, refreshed façade elements, and refined entry features that invite guests into a warm, stylish, and professional environment, including cable railing, pavers, and landscaping, with a touch of modern carpet finishes.
